After completing his studies, Frank van Hove became a member of the ensembles of the opera houses in Dessau, Braunschweig and Mannheim. Since 2011 he has been a regular guest performer at the Teatro alla Scala, the Oper Köln, the Aalto-Musiktheater Essen, the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe, the Volksoper Wien, the Royal Danish Opera, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Opernhaus Zürich, the Teatr Wielki Opera, Poznań and the Opéra National de Lyon, and has appeared at the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter and the Ruhrtriennale festivals.

Hove has performed the roles of Gurnemanz in Wagner’s Parsifal, Fasolt in Das Rheingold and Baron Ochs in Richard Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier, and has worked with Teodor Currentzis, Marek Janowski, Hartmut Haenchen, Kent Nagano and Thomas Hengelbrock.
