Maltese soprano Claire Debono graduated with a Master of Music degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Recent performances include the First Lady in Die Zauberflöte with Jean-Christophe Spinosi, and Despina in Così fan tutte with Jérémie Rhorer at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, Purcell’s The Fairy Queen at Glyndebourne with William Christie, and Così fan tutte and Philidor’s Les Femmes vengées with Opera Lafayette. She has also performed at Lincoln Center, the Festival Castell de Peralada and the Teatro Filarmonico, Verona.

Concert performances include a tour of Europe and New York with William Christie’s Le Jardin des Voix, a programme of Charpentier and Lully motets at Carnegie Hall, recitals at the The Royal Chapel, Versailles with Les Arts Florissants, appearances in France and Corsica for the Festival International d’Art Lyrique d’Aix-en-Provence, and Handel’s Israel in Egypt with Emmanuelle Haïm at the Edinburgh International Festival. Debono’s discography includes recordings with Le Jardin des Voix and Harmonia Sacra.
