Laura Marzadori has received high recognition at numerous competitions, including the Cremona National Festival “Andrea Amati” (jury president Salvatore Accardo), Rome’s National Arts Award (jury president Uto Ughi), and as winner of the most important national violin competition, the City of Vittorio Veneto Award (2005), at which she was also presented with the special award in memory of Franco Gulli, for the best performance of Mozart. She has given concerts in Italy and abroad, and played with the Symphony Orchestras of Brasov and Ukraine, the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, the Parma Teatro Regio Orchestra and the Regional Orchestra of Tuscany. She performed for the Concert of Solidarity at the Rome Auditorium, filmed by RAI for Italy’s Ministry of Culture, and received the Golden Neptune Award (2007) from the Lions Club Bologna, as Bologna’s Artist of the Year. Laura Marzadori graduated with honours and a special mention from Bologna’s Martini Conservatory and is completing her studies with Marco Fornaciari, and Salvatore Accardo at the Stauffer Academy, Cremona and the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, Siena, where she was also awarded the Diploma of Honour. She plays an 1830 Giovanni Pressenda violin (owned by the Pro Canale Foundation).
