A top prizewinner in the Lauritz Melchior International Singing Competition in 2014, Karen Foster returned to Europe to sing Gerhilde in Die Walküre with the Bayerische Staatsoper, and reprised the role in 2014/15. She collaborated in Lohengrin for the Lyric Opera of Chicago and in Turandot for Arizona Opera.

Other performances include Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder with the Adelphi Chamber Orchestra, the title rôle in Turandot with New Rochelle Opera, Helmwige in Die Walküre with Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Leonora in Il trovatore with the Westfield Symphony Orchestra, and a reengagement with the Lyric Opera of Chicago for its production of Strauss’ Die Frau ohne Schatten.
