Solo artist and chamber musician Maud Lovett studied at the Caen Conservatory and then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM), Paris, having been admitted to the latter at the age of thirteen. She graduated at sixteen and went on to further studies with Miriam Solovieff and Isaac Stern, as well as taking masterclasses with Yo-Yo Ma and Jian Wang. She has won several international competitions and is regularly invited to perform at prestigious venues and festivals around the world (Germany, Britain, Brazil, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Iran, Italy, Lebanon, Slovenia, Switzerland and the United States). Keen not to limit her repertoire, she has developed a career that straddles various genres: classical, contemporary, tango and eastern music. In 2010 she established her own performing group, the Ensemble Pasarela (www.ensemblepasarela.com). She is also the co-curator, with Caroline Gras, of the La Hague en musiques Festival.
