Aleksandar Stefanovski was born in Skopje in 1982 and came first in 1995 in an audition for talented young singers by Macedonian Television, going on to complete his studies at the Ilija Nikolovski-Luj music High School and the Pancho Vladigerov State Music Academy in Sofia, followed by study in Vienna and in Rome. Success in a number of competitions and auditions have taken him to the Arena in Verona, where he appeared as Colline in La Bohème, and to La Scala, Milan, as the Priest in Janáček’s House of the Dead, among other engagements.
