Tenor Jeffrey Thompson completed his studies at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati with William McGraw, and was awarded First Prize in the Concours International de Chant Baroque de Chimay in Belgium.

In 2002 he embarked on a European tour of Baroque works in the first Le Jardin des Voix with William Christie’s Les Arts Florissants. He subsequently performed in a concert series of works by Handel and Moulinié with Les Arts Florissants at the Palace of Versailles.

Performances include the role of La Pythonisse in Charpentier’s David et Jonathas, Rameau’s Castor et Pollux with Pinchgut Opera, and Monsigny’s Le Roi et le Fermier and Grétry’s Le Magnifique with Opera Lafayette. Recent engagements include the roles of Acamas in Royer’s Pyhrrus in Versailles, Gianguir in J.C. Bach’s Zanaida in Malta, a recording of early Italian music with ensemble Faenza, a tour promoting his recording of Henry Lawes songs with La Rêveuse, and Leclair’s Scylla et Glaucus.
