Born in Vittel, the Franco-Italian bass Ugo Rabec, after a varied early musical training, began to study singing with Elena Vassilieva in 2000 and was a member of Atelier Lyrique at the Paris Opéra from 2005 to 2008. In 2007 he was awarded vocal prizes by Le Circle Carpeaux and AROP (Les amis de l’opéra) and in 2008 he was selected for the Academy of Verbier Festival. He has sung at the Opéra Bastille, the Opéra Comique, the Palais Garnier, the Opéra Comique and the Salle Pleyel in Paris, at the Vienna Konzerthaus as well as in London, Versailles, Strasbourg, Rennes, Nantes, Montpellier, Metz, Mulhouse, and Verbier, working under distinguished conductors.
