Of Armenian origin, Elizaveta Martirosyan was born in Georgia and graduated with the highest marks in singing and piano at the Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatoire, Tbilisi. She made her début in 2000 at Batumi as Gilda in Verdiʼs Rigoletto, and has lived in Italy since 2002. Winner of a number of competitions, she has sung in opera houses throughout Italy and elsewhere in Europe, as well as in China, collaborating with leading conductors and in rôles including Corinna (Il viaggio a Reims), Giulia (La scala di seta), Semiramide, Elvira (LʼItaliana in Algeri), Adina (Lʼelisir d’amore), Violetta (La traviata), and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni). She enjoys an equally successful and busy career in the concert hall.
