The young German tenor Torsten Kerl studied in Essen before embarking on an international career that has taken him to the Vienna State Opera, the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, the Dresden Semperoper and to leading opera houses throughout Europe. He began his career as an oboist, winning singing prizes and awards that have led to a career also as a soloist in the concert hall in collaboration with conductors and orchestras of the highest distinction.
