Russian soprano Olesya Golovneva, has been awarded as “best singer of the year” for her performances as Anna Bolena and Luisa Miller. She was highly acclaimed for her role debut as Valentine opposite to Juan Diego Florez in the production of Meyerbeer’s Les Huguenots at Deutsche Oper Berlin.

Olesya Golovneva started career as ensemble member of the Vienna State Opera where she made her successful debut as Königin der Nacht. She had tremendous success in further coloratura roles such as Zerbinetta in Leipzig, Olympia and Gilda at Deutsche Oper am Rhein.

Since Her successful way into a more dramatic vocal fach she has sung major roles at the opera houses in Berlin, Zurich, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Düsseldorf, Cologne and many more.
