The award-winning baritone Gezim Myshketa was born in Albania in 1982 and studied at the Arrigo Boito Conservatory of Music in Parma.

After his debut as Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, he sang in various Italian opera houses, including the Palermo Teatro Massimo, the Teatro Communale in Bologna and the Rome Teatro dell’Opera, at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste and at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. He later made guest appearances as Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro and in the title-role of Don Giovanni at the Palm Beach Opera and as Achilla in Giulio Cesare in Egitto in Bilbao.

Other engagements have included Sévérus (Cléopâtre) at the Salzburg Whit Festival, Marcello (La Bohème) in Trieste and Ping (Turandot) at the Toulouse Théâtre du Capitole, and as Paolo Albiani (Simon Boccanegra) at the Flanders Opera. From 2014 to 2017 he was a member of Stuttgart Opera, returning in 2017–18 as Sir Riccardo Forth (I puritani) and as Valentin (Faust).
