In addition to recording Wellgunde (Das Rheingold and Götterdämmerung) and Siegrune (Die Walküre) with Jaap van Zweden and the Hong Kong Philharmonic, French mezzo Aurhelia Varak has performed Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde with Yu Long in Beijing’s Forbidden City and in Valencia, Spain.

Staged operas have included the title role in Bizet’s Carmen in Hong Kong, on tour throughout north-east China for Shanghai Opera, and in Brazil. Other roles include Siebel (Faust), La Muse/Nicklausse (The Tales of Hoffmann), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) and Sesto (Giulio Cesare). Upcoming performances include Gemma in the rarity Dante by Godard.
