Since his Carnegie Hall debut at the age of 18, Dan Zhu has appeared as a soloist with the major orchestras of Boston, Florence, Hong Kong, Munich, Paris, Philadelphia, Tokyo and Vienna, under the direction of Christoph Eschenbach, Zubin Mehta, Krzysztof Penderecki and Long Yu, among others.
He has given concerts and master classes at renowned festivals including Enescu, Marlboro, Prades-Casals, Schleswig-Holstein, Salzburg Festspiele, Tanglewood and Verbier. His passion for nature and the environment has led him to become the first classical musician to perform in Antarctica.
He founded Festival Etruscan Bloom in Florence in 2021.
