French-Australian bass-baritone, Damien Pass, is a graduate of the Yale School of Music and Oberlin Conservatory. He came to Europe as a soloist of the Atelier Lyrique at the Paris Opéra with whom he made his debut at the Opéra Bastille in 2009. Pass has performed all over France and Europe and is often featured in the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence where he recently created the role of Dedale in Jonathan Dove’s new opera Le Monstre du Labirythe with Sir Simon Rattle and the London Symphony that went on to the Opéra de Lille, Marseille and the Philharmonie de Paris in 2018.

Recent roles include the four devils in Les Contes d’Hoffmann with the Opéra de Dijon and Colline in La bohème with Scottish Opera. In the coming seasons Pass will be seen singing Luzifer in the French premiere of Stockhausen’s Donnerstag aus Licht with Maxime Pascale and Le Balcon ensemble at the Opéra Comique, the Opéra national de Bordeaux, London’s South Bank Centre and the Philharmonie de Paris.
