Born in Poland in 1993, Tomasz Borczyk (currently working under the stage name Tomasz Jan) is an international actor and performer. Jan debuted at Teatr Korez in Katowice and in 2013 he moved to Madrid where he studied physical theatre at the Royal School of Performing Arts (RESAD). During his second year of studies, Jan was selected to play Tadzio in the Teatro Real production of Death in Venice. In 2015–16 he studied at the Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in London where he met the French director Matthieu Bellon who invited him to join Bred in the Bone Theatre Laboratory.
In London, he was also directed by Andrzej and Teresa Wel/minscy in a performance dealing with the refugee crisis titled Et In Arcadia Ego II: We thought we heard fireworks. In 2017, along with Szymon Milas and Lucía Alonso Herranz, Jan performed at the independent theatre, El Umbral de Primavera, an original theatre piece called Modo Avión. After finishing RESAD, Jan founded the experimental theatre company Noche de Camaleones.
