Quentin Hayes studied at studied at Dartington Arts College and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. From 1999 to 2004 he was a principal artist with the Royal Opera House with rôles in Peter Grimes, Billy Budd, Turandot, La bohème, Rigoletto, Tosca, Madama Butterfly and Lohengrin. Concert performances include Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Verdi’s Requiem, Elgar’s Dream of Gerontius, Turnage’s Tom Fields (BCMG, Madrid), Opera Galas with the Hallé Orchestra and Elgar’s The Kingdom and Light of Life. At the Luxembourg and Dublin festivals he sang the title rôle in Rigoletto and Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor. He also sang in the 1995 Dublin recording of Maritana with the RTÉ Concert orchestra (Naxos 8.660308-09).
