Mezzo-soprano Claudia Mahnke has thrilled audiences internationally on the opera stage and in concert halls with her warm, versatile voice. Recent highlights include Dorabella (Così fan tutte) at Aix-en-Provence-Festival and Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris; Fricka (Der Ring des Nibelungen) at Staatsoper Berlin; her Metropolitan Opera debut as Magdalene (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg) under Antonio Pappano; Herodias (Salome) at the Wiener Staatsoper; and her role debut as Mère Marie (Dialogues des Carmélites) at Oper Frankfurt, where she is a member of the ensemble, and a named Kammersängerin of Frankfurt, an honour she had previously received at Staatsoper Stuttgart.
