Gaynor Keeble won scholarships to Warwick University and the Royal Academy of Music. Joining Welsh National Opera she performed and covered rôles including Carmen, Meg Page (Falstaff) Maddalena (Rigoletto) Marcellina (The Marriage of Figaro) Flora and Annina (La traviata), Ragonde (Count Ory). She has played Katisha at the English National Opera, Third Lady (Die Zauberflöte) and Voice of the Mother (The Tales of Hoffman) at the Royal Opera House. Recent rôles include Gertrude (Romeo and Juliet), Hippolyta (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) Witch/Mother (Hansel and Gretel) for Opera North and Baba (The Rake’s Progress), Mrs Sedley (Peter Grimes), Popova (The Bear), Quickly (Falstaff), Amneris (Aida) and Delilah. Performances of the major oratorio repertoire include appearances with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the London Mozart Players and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
