The Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla (Royal Symphonic Orchestra of Seville) was created by the government of Andalucía and the City Council of Seville, giving its first public performance on 10 January 1991. Its activity is centered on its subscription symphonic cycle, presented mainly at the Teatro de la Maestranza, with an average of 100 performances per season. It simultaneously serves as orchestra for the opera and ballet productions of the Teatro de la Maestranza, and goes on national and international tours.
