The soprano Donatella Lombardi was born in Foggia, where she studied at the Conservatorio Umberto Giordano. Victorious in a number of important competitions, she has taken leading rôles in various operas, including Cavalli’s L’Ercole amante and La Didone, Scarlatti’s Il trionfo dell’onore and works ranging from by Galuppi, Sarti and Paisiello to Zemlinsky and Wolf-Ferrari. She holds the diploma of the Accademia di perfezionamento of the Teatro alla Scala, has collaborated with some of the most distinguished performers and has appeared in concert in Italy and abroad. She teaches at the Conservatorio di Brescia.
