Ever since being named the “Most Promising Singer of the Year” in a critics’ survey by the German “Opernwelt” magazine, the Slovak tenor Pavol Breslik has made a name for himself as an enchanting multi-purpose tenor who will bewitch as a youthful Tamino (Magic Flute) one week, an authoritative Alfredo (Traviata) the next, and a dynamic Lensky (Onegin) in between. He learned his craft at the Academy of Arts in Banska Bystrica and the Opera Studio CNIPAL in Marseilles, followed by a stint at the Berlin State Opera Unter den Linden. He has worked as a free-lancer since, establishing himself an audience favorite on opera and concert stages the world over.
