Born in Puerto de Sagunto, Silvia Vázquez has worked with conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Paolo Arrivabeni, Carlo Rizzi, and Carlo Montanaro, as well as with stage directors such as Giancarlo del Monaco, Emilio Sagi, Daniele Abbado, Damiano Michieletto, and Massimo Gasparon. She has sung at the Teatro alla Scala, Milan, the Palau de les Arts, Valencia, the Teatro Comunale, Florence, the Konzerthaus, Berlin, Wexford Festival Opera and elsewhere. Her rôles have included principal characters in Lucia di Lammermoor, Rigoletto, Le Comte Ory, Die Zauberflöte, Don Pasquale, and María del Carmen, among others.
