For this movement, Thunemann thinks that it is important to emphasize the dancing character of the Allemande. He shows it by playing how to do it, also using a little different articulation with regards to the student's one. Besides, the professor makes some corrections on tempo and several specific notes considering their harmony.

They also work on phrasing to improve the student's performance. The professor insists on playing more dancing, and then, he indicates the more suitable points to breath. Finally, Thunemann asks the student for more flexibility in the tempo, making some brief comments more while the bassoonist is playing.
