In this violin masterclass, Professor Blacher recommends the student to save enough bow every time he wants to be more intense, in general the student would need more volume. They work on the vibrato at the beginning of the violin part and the contrast of bow attacks to create different effects. The right tempo creates the specific atmosphere in the introduction. Blacher corrects the body position to get better sound. In the fast part ('un poco marcato') it is necessary to play with more 'consonants' (more precise attacks). They work very intensively on double stops.

In the lyrical part (theme B), Blacher corrects the vibrato (slower) and the sound quality. In high pitches it is better to use more bow speed. The attention on the score is so important in Bruch as well as in Mozart. The student must not forget to sing every time with the violin. In general, the student presses too much while playing forte in fast passages, so he must avoid it and then he will get more speed.
