In the professor's opinion, the student's performance is very good but in general, it is limited in character, colors, sound, because she doesn't use the whole bow. The performance must transmit the feeling of movement even in the calm moments. Bron advises her not to use the second string, which is more suitable for other composers like Wieniawsky.

Every time the theme is repeated, the student should rethink about how to play it. Zakhar Bron is not satisfied with the relationship between vibrato, legato and bow division that the student shows. He also mentions that Canzonetta derives from Canzona (song), and therefore the character should be very natural, simple and liggerissimo.

After that, they go over the movement and play it together, and then Bron indicates the places to make rubato and where replace the vibrato regarding the harmonies. Besides, he corrects other specific musical aspects to get more expressiveness.
