Born in Aversa, Rosanna Savoia began studying voice at the Conservatory Pietro Majella in Naples and later specialised with R. Gazzani and E. Lombardini Smith. She has participated in seminars and master-classes held by Leyla Gençer, Raina Kabaivanska, Paolo Montarsolo, Judith Resnik, Renata Scotto and Alberto Zedda (Accademia Rossiniana). As a finalist in important international competitions, she won the Toti dal Monte in 1996 and received the Critics’ Award at the Giuseppe di Stefano. Her career has brought appearances in major opera-houses throughout Italy, including La Scala in Milan and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and abroad in a wide repertoire.
